At Anchor & Thrive, we understand that navigating the system and seeking answers can feel overwhelming and confusing. You may be noticing challenges with school performance, social connections, focus, or emotional regulation, and you’re looking for a way forward, but overwhelmed with the process.
Our neuropsychological evaluations provide the "anchor" you need. By using evidence-based assessments and a compassionate, client-centered approach, we help you understand exactly how the brain is processing information. From this clarity, we work together to build a road-map so you or your child can move from just "getting by" to truly thriving.
Who We Serve
We provide comprehensive evaluations for individuals ages 4 and up, including:
- Children & Preschoolers: Identifying early developmental milestones and school readiness.
- Adolescents: Navigating the increased academic and social demands of middle and high school.
- Adults: Helping professionals and students understand their cognitive profile to improve work-life balance and success.
What We Evaluate
A neuropsychological evaluation is much more than just a diagnosis; it is a deep dive into cognitive strengths and areas for growth. We specialize in testing for:
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD): Moving beyond simple checklists to understand how executive functions (planning, focus, and impulse control) impact daily life.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Providing neuro-affirming evaluations to understand social communication patterns and sensory profiles.
- Learning Disabilities: Comprehensive testing for Dyslexia (reading), Dysgraphia (writing), and Dyscalculia (math) to secure necessary school accommodations (IEPs/504 Plans).
- Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities: Assessing cognitive potential and adaptive skills to ensure proper support and resources.
- Executive Functioning & Memory: Identifying why a person may struggle with organization, "brain fog," or following multi-step directions.
Our Process: What to Expect
We have designed our evaluation process to be clear, supportive, and focused on actionable results.
- Initial Consultation: A brief conversation to discuss your concerns, review history, and ensure this is the right next step for you or your child.
- The Testing Discovery: Conducted in a comfortable, low-stress environment. We use a variety of interactive tasks, puzzles, and assessments tailored to the individual’s age and needs.
- Comprehensive Analysis: We don’t just look at scores. We integrate history, observations, and data to create a holistic picture of the individual.
- The Feedback Session: We meet with you to review the findings in "plain English." You will receive a detailed report including a formal diagnosis (if applicable) and, most importantly, a personalized plan for school, work, and home.
